How to replace the Power Button on a Dell 14 Plus DB14255

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Power Button and a Dell14Plus DB14255. The procedure will also include removing the Base Cover, Battery Cable, I/O Board and reinstalling them.
Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest assembly.
Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest assembly.
Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover from the hinge area and continue prying on all its sides to loosen the base cover.
Remove the base cover from the palm rest assembly.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
I/O Board
Identify the I/O board highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the right display hinge to the palm rest assembly.
Open the right display hinge at an angle of 90 degrees.
Lift the latch and disconnect the I/O board and power button fingerprint reader cables from the I/O board.
Remove the screw that secures the I/O board to the palm rest assembly.
Slide and remove the I/O board from the palm rest assembly.
Power Button
Identify the power button with fingerprint reader highlighted in blue.
Peel the tape that secures the fingerprint reader cable.
Remove the screw that secures the power button to the palm rest assembly.
Remove the power button along with fingerprint reader cable off the palm rest assembly.
Install
Power Button
Identify the power button with fingerprint reader cable location highlighted in blue.
Install the power button with fingerprint reader cable into the slot on the palm rest assembly.
Install the screw that secures the power button to the palm rest assembly.
Adhere the tape that secures the fingerprint reader cable.
I/O Board
Identify the I/O board location highlighted in blue.
Slide and place the I/O board on the palm rest assembly.
Install the screw that secures the I/O board to the palm rest assembly.
Connect the I/O board and power button fingerprint reader cables to the I/O board and close the latch to secure.
Close the right display hinge and align it with the screw holes.
Install the screws that secure the right display hinge to the palm rest assembly.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Connect the battery cable to the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the base cover and press the edges of the cover until it clicks into place.
Tighten the screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest assembly.
Install the screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest assembly.
