This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Speakers and a Dell 15 DC15250. The procedure will also include removing the Base Cover and reinstalling them.
Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws on the base cover.
Remove the screws that secure the base cover.
Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover near the hinges to release it from the system.
Remove the base cover by loosening the sides and front.
Speakers
Identify the speakers highlighted in blue.
To disconnect the speaker cable, pry up the bottom first and then pull it away to remove.
Unroute and remove the speaker cable from the routing guides on the system.
Lift the speakers and cable from the system. Use a scribe to lift under the grommets.
Install
Speakers
Identify the speakers location highlighted in blue.
Using the alignment posts, install the speakers in the slots on the system.
Route the speaker cable through the routing guides on the palm rest assembly.
Align the pins with the connector and push down to connect the speaker cable.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Install the base cover and press the edges and sides until it snaps into place.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the base cover.
