Industrial PCs explosive growth

Forecast Chart by Frost & Sullivan, published in “it-production.com, Oct.2012

I recently read a report from Frost & Sullivan which stated that the total market of Industrial PCs is showing enormous growth. The expected growth rate is from 2.1 B$ in 2011 to 3.2 B$ in 2015. This includes all types of industrial PCs, from smallest embedded controllers up to full blown rack mounted servers.

These IPCs are aggressively priced and also seem to meet the performance and quality expectations of many Industrial Automation customers.

This leads to a situation, where Tier-1 companies such as Dell OEM Solutionscome into play, with economy of scale and production quality of millions of commodity IT-products, and a dedicated OEM understanding for customisation and long term availability.

Standardised IT-products, services and solutions, with the needs of the Industrial Automation industry in mind

With Dell OEM Solutions’ portfolio of long life products and dedicated services, such as the Optiplex XL, XE PCs, the Tower- and Rack mounted Precision Workstation series, or the 12G Power Edge Servers, we can be the ideal partner for many types of machine- and vision control, optical- and measurement equipment, or image processing systems.

Once again Dell OEM is presenting these offerings at one of Europe’s biggest exhibitions for electric automation technology, SPS IPC Drives, from Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 of November in Nuremberg, Germany. You can find us in Hall 8, stand 520. If you’re interested in talking to us, please drop by to visit a member of the Dell OEM local German sales and technical sales teams.

We will also be giving a talk on „Standardisierte IT Produkte, Lösungen und Services  – Vorteile und Herausforderungen für die Industrieautomatisierung“ from 10.00-10.20 on Wednesday 28th November at Forum of the ZVEI Hall 8, stand 504. The speakers will be Andreas Ertel (Dell OEM Solutions) and Christian Donitzky (Intel).

We look forward to seeing you at the show! In the meantime you can arrange a time to meet or follow our SPS IPC Drives show conversation on our blog at http://blog.delloem.com/ or on Twitter – @DellOEM, @oliviahughes3 and @AndreasEAtDell.
