Help configuring SC5020 to new AIX host
Hello. I need to present a LUN to a new host running AIX 7.1. I found some documents instructing to download Dell Storage Center Software Suite for AIX Version 3.0.2 to the AIX. I did the instalaltion, can run the binaries described at the manual, but I think somenthing is missing, because the manual never says anything about configure the iscsi target at host configuration.
I thin we need to add the ip target from Compellent in the iscsi target configuration file, but the question is: what info we need to provide?
Today the AIX host already has a LUN presented from other Equallogic storage and this works fine. The IQN from that LUN is configured in file /etc/iscsi/targets on host.
Don't know how configure this. All the network config at host side is ok and Compellent LUN configuration at storage side is presented, but the host never access the storage. At Compellent side, I tried to mannually add the HBA (iqn from host), but the Compellent says the connectivity is down.
Anyone can help-me?

Hello jeanblu,
Here is the link to our administrator guide and it explains how you want to configure host access as well as iscsi fault domain settings. https://dell.to/3nl6wDP
Here is also a guide to configure host best practices. https://dell.to/3E3eDe9

Hi. Thanks for the info, but I didn't see anything related to present a LUN to an AIX environment in those docs. Any other clue?

Hello @jeanblu,
I am afraid, you will not find a guide directly to configure it to an AIX enviorement. But instead, to a generic enviorement that might help you to configure to yours.
I think there is not an specific guide for AIX. But you can wait for other community member's answers to see if they experienced a similar configuration.
Regards.

I really need this. Tried to open a ticket with Dell, but nobody could help. Even the commercial team can't elaborate a proposal for this goal. Pretty sad this situation.
