OME v1.2 DB Connect Error
Hi,
we are running OME v1.2 & we are receiving "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password #1326" whenever we try to run OME. Is there way to check what account OME is running as (windows DSM services all show local system account)? I have checked the SQL DB permissions & it appears to be the account the software was installed under. I suspect this account has had it's password changed. Is there an easy way to re bind OME to run as new AD account with a static password?
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the post!
You should have no issues if you move the database from one instance to another instance. If OME is unable to connect to the database, it will ask for database location and credentials.
You can:
1.Backup the database from the local instance
2.Restore the backup to the remote instance
3.Stop the local instance SQL Server service
4.Launch Essentials
5.Receive error message indicating it cannot reach the database
6.Click OK
7.Enter new database location and credentials
You can also look out on TechCenter outlining the process of Database Re-Targeting in OME at: http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/systems-management/f/4494/t/19440364.aspx
Thanks
