Dell G5 5505 hot while charging

Hello,

I bought my brand new Dell G5 5505 and the fans are going on 100 percent while I am playing a game if the the AC is plugged in. The CPU and GPU is on about 82-85 degree of celsius both while playing a single game and the keyboard and the whole laptop is hot like a....

When I am playing without plugged in AC (only from the battery), than it works normal. Fans are working only minimal. CPU and GPU and the whole laptop is not hot.

I have updated all drivers.

Can somebody help me in that?

Thanks in advance.

Without Ac adapter, Battery is not capable to supply enough power to Processor and GPU thus machine runs slower than it can on AC adapter. This is why fans do not kick in

I think you are running on high-performance profile.

You should try a cooler profile from AWCC or Dell power manager.

Running the SupportAssist Pre-Boot System Performance Check
Turn on your computer.
As the computer boots, press the F12 key as the Dell logo appears.
On the boot menu screen, select the Diagnostics option.
Click the arrow at the bottom left corner.
Diagnostics front page is displayed.
Click the arrow in the lower-right corner to go to the page listing.
The items detected are listed.
To run a diagnostic test on a specific device, press Esc and click Yes to stop the diagnostic test.
Select the device from the left pane and click Run Tests.
If there are any issues, error codes are displayed.
Note the error code and validation number and contact Dell.
