Inspiron 15-7568

So this laptop had a faulty hard drive back in October,  upgraded to a 240 GB SSD  when replacing said bad drive. Today my friend brought it back in, doesn't boot just goes to Dell SupportAssist  with "hard drive not installed" error. I pull the drive out and plug it into my desktop & run crystaldiskinfo on it....claims the drive is healthy, no issues. Put drive back into laptop- it booted into Windows ....I shut it down & made sure all connections were tight & put the bottom panel back on. I hit the power button & it went to Dell Support assist again "no drive installed" . The warranty run out in March of this year, 6 months later a hard drive failed, then less than 2 months later another problem.  I got on chat with Dell & they were NO help at all. I can replace anything in this laptop but I have no idea as to what has went bad....is the motherboard faulty on this thing?? Any help would be appreciated! TIA

I would pull the drive and boot a couple of times without it.  Then try again, but if you can't get it to work you may need a different drive.  I have seen threads where a certain type/size of SSD would not work but those were the M.2 version.

It has worked for almost 2 months prior to this issue so I dont see how that could help. It is a 2.5 Solid State Drive. It also tests out ok on another system
