Hi Andy de Bont,
If the system is shipped with integrated graphics, there is no option to upgrade the video controller. However, while ordering the system it can be configured with discrete graphics card.
Please feel free to reply if you have any questions. I will be glad to assist.

Hi Amogh
This laptop was provided by my company, before this one I had an exact same type laptop, presumably from the same delivery. That one did have better video quality, I had specific graphic features on a game available on that laptop that I don't have on this one... What could be the difference?

That one may have had discrete or hybrid video - or for that matter, the software image used on the new one may be different. Your best bet is to contact your company's support people to find out what you have.

Hi ejn63
I assume both laptops would have same hardware as they were delivered in the same delivery order, the current laptop used to belong to a colleague who left the company. When my laptop got some issues it was swopped with this colleagues laptop. I installed exact same company image and personalized in same manner as first laptop. Still the graphical performance doesn't allow a specific feature which the other laptop did have.
So I guess there would be some setting that causes this issue...
I don't think my companies support will take this request as the missing graphical feature is not needed for professional usage but for a personal game that is allowed to be installed on this laptop...

I wouldn't make the assumption they're the same. Does the system have discrete video or just integrated?

Hmmm, I'm not a hardware or system man...
No references to Optimus or ATI Catalyst in the control panel
What I did found in device manager:
Display adapter: NVIDIA NVS 3100M (with a long list of drivers installed... you need to know these?)

Look for an Optimus or ATI Catalyst control panel (or look in the device manager).

That means the system does have discrete video. You can try updating the video drivers to see if that restores the features you're looking for (support.dell.com, downloads).

Hi Andy de Bont,
You may uninstall and reinstall the display drivers. Please follow the steps below:
You may install the driver from the link: http://dell.to/15tfhsT.

Hi Amogh
I already tried reinstalling the driver without success. I now first uninstalled like you suggested. However, when I tried to install from the url you suggested I received an error that my system was not Win 7. Because of the uninstall the resolution was set to a default.
So I decided to restart the laptop, then the laptop started to reinstall the graphic driver by itself and asking for restart when completed. After the second restart the resolution was back to normal and guess what! The advanced graphic feature is also in place again!
Many thanks for the support!
