Switching between WiFi and LAN issue

Hi there,
we have an issue with switching WiFi and ethernet connection on Latitude 5420 (Windows 10 Pro, 64bit) and WD19TBS docking station.

Laptop is connected via WiFi and everything works fine. Then (not always, but often), if I connect laptop to dock, Wifi is disconnected, ethernet is activated and gets correct IP addres. Windows shows in system tray "I am online icon", but internet does not work. Ping is unavailable from this device even to this device, everything is offline. Interresting is, if I try ping in command line, I get message "Reply from 192.168.240.1: Destination host unreachable." But 240.1 is WiFi gateway, which is disconnected. Correct address should be 192.168.250.1. In IP config command I see status "wifi disconnected" and no IP, "ethernet connected" and all correct IP address.
Reboot is only way for help.

Do you know, what should be wrong?
Drivers and BIOS are up to date

I have a similar problem since Dell updated BIOS with wired LAN "auto-detect": as it detect a cable, it simply switch off Wi-Fi.

Before, you could disable it , acordingly to this:

How to Setup both Wired and Wireless Networks to work at same time on a Latitude System. | Dell Brasil

However, in newer versions, as you disable this "auto-switch-function", your WLAN (wi-fi) card is completely disabled.

I hope Dell revise this BIOS to give back to us the option to operate both wired and wi-fi connections simultaneosly....

Thanks for the information. I am having the same issue and thought it might be corporate control but I can not find anyone (IT, security to take credit) It is so frustrating working in the field needing to be connected to equipment though eithernet and also needing to get VPN to network. Only way I  heard around it is to connect phone with cable for internet instead of wifi. So frustrating.
