U2414H, XPS Studio 1640, DP to mDP blinking on and off
I'm not trying anything fancy here - Just trying to plug my new monitor into my laptop. DisplayPort to MiniDisplayPort In. The image flashes on and off. I can access the menu if I'm super quick about it - so mini DP is selected as the input. The resolution is set to the recommended resolution. And the DisplayPort 1.2 or whatever has been enabled. Blink ... blink ... blink... Help please. Or should I just wait till I get a HDMI cable?

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670 video adapter if that helps.

It works with an HDMI cable. Guess the DisplayPort is not a good option for me.

Did this 2009 Studio XPS 1640 DP out port work on other monitors? Or is this the first time you had tested it?
To make sure it works, is there another PC there with DP out port to test on the U2414H DP in port?
