Unable to recover emails from Monthly tape backup

We took a monthly backup to tape of Exchange DAG using Networker v9.2.1.5, from January 2019 through December 2021.

The group that the policy uses does not show the Exchange DAG. The Client Indexes only shows 37 MB which is way smaller than it should be. When we run a query against saved sets with the correct Policy, Workflow Group, and date range, nothing is returned.

This leads us to believe that the Networker application has no record of our backups for Exchange. We believe the backups are on the tapes. Since we have the tapes, we would like to build an index from the tapes directly and be able to restore from there.

Can anyone tell us how to do that or suggest another way to get to the backups?

The only method to rebuild missing indexes is via the 'scanner' command. Please see the Command Line Reference for details.

By any chance do you have a good link that has useful command lines that we can follow.

Things that we found was not really helpful.

What kinda resources are you finding and getting that weren't helpful?

I assume you have access to the Dell KB and have a support contract?
