Dell WD19s - Ethernet not working - using Dell XPS 15 9510 with 180w power supply

XPS 15 9510

XPS 15 9510

I'm getting nothing showing for ethernet connection using my WD19s docking station (with 180w power adapter)

I have a high spec Dell XPS 15 9510 yet I can't get any ethernet throught the dock.
The lights are showing that the lan cable is connected on the back of the dock.

Any solutions?

Here are some potential solutions you can try:

  1. Make sure the ethernet cable is securely plugged into the dock and the router or modem.

  2. Check if the ethernet port on your Dell XPS 15 9510 is working properly by connecting the cable directly to the computer.

  3. Restart your computer and the docking station.

  4. Update the drivers for the docking station and ethernet adapter. You can find the latest drivers on the Dell website.

  5. Try a different ethernet cable to rule out any issues with the cable.

  6. Make sure that the ethernet adapter is enabled in the network settings. You can check this by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Ethernet and ensuring that the toggle switch is turned on.

  7. Try disabling and re-enabling the ethernet adapter. You can do this by going to Device Manager, right-clicking on the ethernet adapter, and selecting Disable. Wait a few seconds and then right-click on it again and select Enable.

If none of these solutions work, you may want to contact Dell support for further assistance.
