Not connecting to Internet

Hoping to get some feedback that will help me with this problem. I have a 15R Insprion and when I went to use the Internet today it said "this page can't be displayed" and it listed some suggestions. When I ran a diagnostic it said my modem connection was broken but my parents computer was working just fine. I'm connected to our house wifi but still no luck opening an Internet page. I even unplugged the router cable and restarted it and that didnt help either.I thought it might have something to do with the airplane mode, but i cant seem to find out to turn it off if that is the issue. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it!
