The DA310 adapter firmware update tool does not support the DA310 adapter
The adapter does not provide internet to my Macbook Air M1 when I connect an ethernet cable to it. I tried updating the adapter on my Windows machine using this tool: https://www.dell.com/support/home/cs-cz/product-support/product/usb-c-mobile-adapter-da310/drivers
But the tool says that the device is not compatible. How else can I upgrade the firmware of this adapter so I can use it to connect my Macbook to the internet?

1- did you update the firmware (even if it says not compatible you have some executables in sub folders)
2- afterwards it seems you have to make some settings in your network panel

A new A01 version was published recently (11JUL2023), please give a try
1. ensure your Windows computer has an USB-C at least with 10Gb/s (not sure it works well with 5Gb/s) or better a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port
2. run updater with admin rights
3. ensure Win PC is fully updated (Windows, drivers, BIOS and other components firmwares as well)
