The DA310 adapter firmware update tool does not support the DA310 adapter
The adapter does not provide internet to my Macbook Air M1 when I connect an ethernet cable to it. I tried updating the adapter on my Windows machine using this tool: https://www.dell.com/support/home/cs-cz/product-support/product/usb-c-mobile-adapter-da310/drivers
But the tool says that the device is not compatible. How else can I upgrade the firmware of this adapter so I can use it to connect my Macbook to the internet?

1- did you update the firmware (even if it says not compatible you have some executables in sub folders)
2- afterwards it seems you have to make some settings in your network panel

A new A01 version was published recently (11JUL2023), please give a try
1. ensure your Windows computer has an USB-C at least with 10Gb/s (not sure it works well with 5Gb/s) or better a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port
2. run updater with admin rights
3. ensure Win PC is fully updated (Windows, drivers, BIOS and other components firmwares as well)

@Broffrey Hi, im having this problem right now. I have a brande new Windows PC and the hub keeps saying that is a driver erros. I searched for a firmware update (and there is a update), but i cant update.
Says device is not supported and i can even click the checkbox to update.
Someone could please give some tips of how can i update please?
Im using Windows 11 in full updated and original, and a AsusPro Art16.

@StudioMantis ensure it’s plugged to one of the 2 Thunderbolt ports, and firmware updater tool executed with admin level rights (right click on the setup EXE).
But as you said, you have a driver(s) issue, so you probably must solve this firstly. Download the latest related drivers from DELL website, or use Snappy Driver Installer (SDI) or Origin version (SDIO), they are great freeware to install missing drivers and update old ones. Consider storing this tool on a big USB 3.0 key, or an external HDD, or a network share (NAS) because if you decide to download all drivers pack, they require almost 50GB, and you won’t use it every day, so let’s store it cold somewhere else of your laptop with a precious limited storage, this doesn’t require high performance NVMe SSD. Also you will be able to update other friends/family computers by this way 😃

I just tried the new A02 on my DA310. Firstly checkbox can't be ticked, that's true, but I was able to click on UPDATE button. Progression bar goes to 100%.
Then now I'm able to tick the checkbox, but it's seems it's for reflash again with the latest firmware, please see screenshot:
