T420 stuck on firmware update.
I have a T420 that I'm trying to make sure is up to date and it's stuck in the firmware update section on "Connecting to network share". I use the HTTPS section and leave the Downloads.Dell.Com in place and click next. It then warns me after a few minutes that "Lifecycle controller does not import HTTPS certificates at this time. Press 'yes' to continue". I hit yes and after a few seconds the activity bar freezes. I have left it sit there for up to half an hour with no signs of life. I have to hit Esc to back out and start over.
Now I already used the platform specific CD and updated some things, but I want to ensure everything is updated. The system has a valid IP address and has full network access.
Thanks in advance!

Can you update iDRAC FW to latest (if not latest) and check the behavior?

As far as I know it is fully updated. I updated it and the bios first, then ran the platform specific ISO. Prior to the update I could not even get into the lifecycle controller.

Hello I was thinking we could update via USB or some other ways not by HTTP or online. https://dell.to/3jq0PF2

I really wanted to do the online update to be 100% sure everything was fully updated. Updating other ways is simply too hit or miss. To get to where I am now I had to first install a copy of windows 10 as none of the Linux files were working for me. They all simply gave permission errors even when running as root. I did eventually get that platform specific ISO to work after updating the Bios and iDRAC, but it only updated 3 things and I know the system was last updated in 2015.
