Dell Precision 7820 Installing 4x Nvme with MegaRAID 9440-8i

I bought a Dell 7820 With 2 x PCIe SSD Backplanes and 4 x Nvme. Also Have a MegaRAID 9440-8i installed. Is there  a way to connect the 4 x Nvme drives to the  MegaRAID 9440-8i because  the card only has a connection for 2 x Nvme Drives only.

the other Nvme Cannot connect to Raid Cardthe other Nvme Cannot connect to Raid Card

Hello @Mojotechs , the MegaRAID 9440-8i utilized 8-lane PCIe data bandwidth and each of your NVMe drive required x4 lanes.  Therefore, you can't connect 4 x NVMe drives to the card.  However, you can add more NVMe drives to the system using Dell Ultra-Speed Drive adapter or third party adapter like Asus Hyper.  Depending on which slot available, you can add up to 4 x NVMe drives on a PCIe x16 slot.

Don't know if you are aware but you can also connect the backplane cables to the motherboard headers.  Each header has PCIe 4-lane direct connect to CPU.
