Looking for a Dell Desktop w/ 8 pin and 6pin

Hello, atm I'm using a Dell precision 5810 and a Radeon Pro W6600, only requires a 6pin, everything works perfect. But i want to buy a secondary computer but i need one that has a 8pin and 6pin connectors because i want to buy a Radeon Pro W5700.

The problem is, i can't seem to find one. What dell workstation precision desktop models has 8pin and 6pin connectors?

Thanks.

Many older models including the T5810 can provide 8-pin and 6-pin connectors, as long as you have a sufficient power supply.  For your T5810, use a 825w with 2 PCIe cables connecting to the power distribution board.

Ok sorry, I'm kinda new to this. I have 2 pcie 6 pin connectors, so i will have to buy a 825w powersupply and replace my 685w one. and the card i want needs a 8pin and 6pin connector.

so can you explain how i am suppose to do this again?

You actually can run the new video card with your current 685w PSU.  The suggestion to use 825w was to cover overhead for the whole system, some with many SAS drives.  Consider to upgrade PSU only when you see power issue.  You can change your 0D29C9 cable to a dual 8-pin like this one.  Or you can get a separate 8-pin cable and use the spare CPU1.  Depending on your location, Dell 8-pin cable can be found on the bay.

You can always add two more by buying this cable.

Double check your pci-e cables. They should be 6+2 pci-e power cables. Meaning, each plug can be used as a 6-pin or 8-pin because two pins are removable.

I think all mid range Precision desktops since the T5500 comes with at least two (6+2) 8-pin pci-e plugs.
