T5820 Slimline Bluray to replace Slimline Optical? No joy with google.
Is there either a Dell or a Third Party Slimline Bluray drive that can be straight swapped with a 'standard' Dell Slimline Optical DVD/Writer drive?
If so could you possibly post a link?

Any slim laptop Blu-Ray would work right? Or is there something special about the Dell ones?

I tried a slim drive from Panasonic. It would not fit. I am assuming this is some proprietary sized slim drive from Dell.

Part-people.com boasts that they sent over 2 million Dell parts, but I couldn't find a Blu ray slim drive for the 5820 either. There's some parts that are only available from Dell when included from the Dell factory.
