Dell R920 100Gbps Fiber NIC QSFP28 support?
Hi guys
i am doing some shopping for used Dell Server.. and i have come across some Dell R920 servers in my region with fairly cheap price now, my question is.. is there any support for QSFP28 100Gbps fiber nics on Dell R920 ? or only in newer Generation models?
I have found some information online regarding support for 40Gbps Fiber nic hardware, but none for 100gbps..
Has anyone tested? or its simply not possible?

Hello when R920 came out there was no 100Gb NIC around at that time. You gotta test it out yourself or wait to see if others have tested, I’m afraid. However, this could still help to see if the NIC falls into the PCI slot. (page 22)

1 Rookie,
How did this workout? Did you get 100gb Mellanox working on your DELL R920's?
If so, what card did you use?
