Hi Eric, I've checked the article's audience level and it seems to okay to share it. Let me share it with you and the community but I have to say I don't have practice with it. There for still good to reach tech support.

Error message "Update Failed. Something went wrong while upgrading this gateway to latest version. Please try again later."
Example:
update failed example

Or
After a successful upgrade to Secure Connect Gateway (SCG) the esrshttpdR service is not running
Example:

esrshttpdR service stopped example
Cause
The cause for the esrshttpdR not running is due to the internal lockbox becoming corrupted during the update process.
The cause for the update failed message is due to stale/active MFT sessions being present.
Resolution
To resolve, follow these steps:

1. Download the attached file from this article & copy the "outboundConnectivity_csp_en_US_1.zip" script to any location (e.g. /tmp).

2. Unzip the file, Execute the command:  unzip outboundConnectivity_csp_en_US_1.zip

3. Navigate to the directory containing script, Execute command:  chmod +x https://dell.to/3Wbsrv7

4. Execute the script ./outboundConnectivity.sh

For update failed issues - retry the upgrade.
Additional Information
This script will not resolve update failures due to active Remote Sessions.

Hello, I dug up and found an article please follow up on it. This might appear to be an intermittent problem. If the issue persists, you need to call support and work with a technician in a remote session.

"Secure Connect Gateway: Update failed. Something went wrong while upgrading this gateway to latest version; or esrshttpdR not running post successful update." https://dell.to/3W48ZAr
