The laptop, an Inspiron 15 3521, just hangs at the Dell logo screen. Any tips on buying memory? Or is maybe something wrong with the laptop? It works fine on the original 4G of RAM that came with the system.

it worked when I installed patriot brand instead of PNY.

Do you have to check if laptop memory has "ECC" or is it all the same nowadays?
