Inspiron 660, SA 3.11.4.29, Hardware Scan Error

Inspiron 660

Inspiron 660

SA (SupportAssist) for Home PCs won't display CPU when hovering over Service Tag information, CPU is blank! When Running All Scan, it scans all the way through to the end. Problem is when scanning hardware, it remains at 0% for about 8 minutes, then proceeds on to Clean Files. End result is a Hardware Scan Error with no explanation of why.

My question: why is the CPU blank in Service Tag Information? If that blank was filled in, I think it would solve the problem!

I'm running an Inspiron 660 with an i7-3770 CPU. Dell doesn't support an i7 in this desktop. Previous SA ran perfect! What did Dell do with this version?

Inspiron 660 desktop, i7-3770, 16 GB ram, Dell GTX 1660 TI , Windows 10 Pro latest update. I've read all the suggestions, but so far, no one has the answer? Works fine on my dual boot XPS 8940.

Just had SupportAssist 3.12.3.5 & 3.12.10.0 update offered for this PC. I updated and everything seems to be working properly now. The hardware scan now works without errors. It never did update Processor in Service Tag info, still blank, but as long as everything else works, I'm happy! This update worked for me!
