Bad PE1950 Bundle on SUU 7.2.1?
I was updating many of our Dell servers to firmware 460 / 7.2.1 this past weekend generally without incident using the SUU extracted from the 7.2.1 release ISO when I noticed a consistent problem with the comparison inventory only on my PE1950 systems (not PE2950 or others):
Those firmware releases are years old and should not be recommended for a Q1 2013 release. That firmware also does not mach what the inventory scanner recommends for the similar PE2950 components.
How can I get this issue percolated up to the correct support team for investigation / re-release with the correct PE1950 bundle?

Well, I downloaded the A01 release of this SUU hoping there would be a fix for this issue even though I never got a response. However, it looks like we still have the same issue with old firmware versions being pushed in the PE1950 bundle...
How do I get some action on this?
Bundle Name: System Bundle (Windows) PE1950
Description: System Bundle (Windows) PE1950
Path: PE1950-WIN-PH14256.XML
OS Support: Microsoft Windows
Bundle ID: PH14256_WIN.460
Target Systems: 1950

I apologize on behalf of Dell. I have replicated the issue and have created an escalation to the developers to get this fixed. As soon as I have a target fix date, I will post here.

After further research, this issue appears to be fixed in SUU 7.3, to be released on ~ July 7th. :)
