OMSA v11 works on MS Server 2016 and is apparently required (v10.3 does not work reliably)
We've used OMSA Managed Node for years to manage Dell Servers running VMware. It is the fastest and simplest way to check hardware and RAID arrays on Dell hardware. You simply enter the IP of the remote (or local) server you want to inspect, authenticate, and the information is immediately accessible.
Over the past 6-9 months, logging into the target servers started to fail-- this is apparently due to incompatibilies between v10.3 OMSA and current browsers. We had tried restarting all the related services on the VMware server and the Windows Server 2016 running OMSA, and re-installing as well. Nothing worked.
Dell released OpenManage Server Administrator Managed Node for Windows, v11.0.0.0 in December 2022 and everything works again. V11 is only listed for Server 2019, but it does work for Server 2016. If you are running VMware on the target server, you also need to install the v11 VIB package.
Based on other comments about OMSA v10.x failing to login to inspect Windows Servers on Dell hardware, v11 seems necessary for Windows servers as well.
Save yourself hours of wasted time and update to v11 for all OMSA packages. I wish we had known this in advance.

OpenManage Essentials was popular because it was a one-to-many form of OMSA, and used some of the same connectivity. We have not tested it to see if it requires or works with v11 OMSA. The latest OpenManage Essentials is version is 2.5, released in 2018. Dell is no longer supporting it.
Dell OpenManage Enterprise is completely different, far more complex, and is based mostly on interaction with iDRACs.
