Laptop turns off by itself

Vostro 5502

Vostro 5502

Dear developers, I recently bought a Dell vostro 5502 laptop. Linux was preinstalled on this laptop with the Ubuntu distribution, but instead Windows 10 Pro 22H2 was installed from the official website using a bootable flash drive. After a while, the laptop began to turn itself off and did not respond to the power button or the charger connected to it. In this state, he was until the battery runs out completely (at the same time, he charged external devices through the USB port). Only one Kernel-Power critical error with code 41 appears in the event log

Updating BIOS to version 1.19.0 did not solve the problem, as well as updating drivers through SupportAssisit. At the same time, all tests in the SupportAssist pass successfully. In device manager, all devices are working fine and there are no errors.

Please tell me how to fix this error.

This error appears to be related to a bugcheck or system crash with the code 41. A common cause of such crashes can be due to hardware issues, such as a malfunctioning power supply, battery, or cooling system. Additionally, conflicts between drivers or system updates may also be contributing factors.

To resolve the issue you can try the following steops

  1. Remove any peripheral devices connected to the laptop and test if the issue still persists.

  2. Check if the laptop is running with the latest BIOS and driver updates.

  3. Check the event logs for any other error codes or messages that may provide more information about the cause of the crash.

  4. Run a hardware diagnostic test using the diagnostic tools provided by Dell to check if any hardware components are failing.

  5. Try booting the laptop into safe mode and see if the issue still persists.

  6. If the issue still persists, consider backing up important data and restoring the laptop to its original state using the factory reset option.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may want to contact Dell support for further assistance.
