Hello,
I have a Vostro 15-5510 (4-cell battery), it shipped with a m.2 2230 SSD installed in M.2 slot one.
I want to update a SSD memory and bought Samsung SSD980 1TB NVMe m.2.
I put Samsung SSD in slot 1 and original SSD move in slot 2, but original SSD doesn't recognize in slot 2. Why?
Vostro specifications say that this laptop supports M.2 drive x2 and motherboard has captions on m.2 slots - SSD1, SSD2
original view:
What I want (yes, they not screw, just an example):
BIOS info for slot 2 with m.2 2230
BIOS configuration:
Maybe it has something to do with RAID On.
Both drives need to be firmly attached with a screw in order for the contact to be made between the system board and edge connector.
Does setup (F2 at powerup) see both drives?
If it does, is one drive a clone of the other (in which case Windows will see just one of them)?
I tried to switch to ACHI/NVMe but it didn't help

Sure, I attached ssd with a screw before turron the laptop.
BIOS sees drive only in slot 1 (samsung and original) slot 2 always shows as empty.
I wonder if you were able to solve this problem?
