Dell Display Manager overrides "ALT" key..
Hello, I've recently installed the Display Manager again after a few months not using it, it's been updated completely, new look etc. What's happening now is it seems to override "ALT" simply by running. I use Blender software, a 3D modelling program which uses the alt key a lot as a hotkey modifier and none of those functions work while the DDM is running. Even if none of the same hotkeys are in use by both. It just seems the DDM is holding the alt key hostage and nobody else can use it.
Just wonder if there's a way to actually either completely disable hotkeys for DDM, or somehow make it not capture the alt key permanently. I've disabled the few hotkeys that can be in the interface, but that has no impact. The alt key is unusable in Blender regardless while DDM is running.
Hope this is posted in the right place, first time poster here.

Was this solved outside this ticket? I have the same issue that DDM overrides alt combinations, in this case alt+s in outlook. I have selected none for all shortcuts in DDM and I can confirm that it is DDM that is controlling the combo, because if I exit the DDM app then the alt+s combination works again.

Same here, alt shortcuts are broken in the whole system while DDM is running, even though I deregistered shortcuts in DMM. Once DMM is turned off, shortcuts work again.

Yes, and the issues still persists in DDM 2.1.0.45.

Have any of you tested the January 17, 2023 released DDM 2.1.0.45 listed in the FAQ DDM (Dell Display Manager)?

Yeah, I just did an update and it's still not solved. So annoying - I can't have DDM on in my system which is making all of it's features useless

@Jaro
Hello, I figured out how to change the hotkeys.
I was running into issues in Starfield hitting left alt a
1. In start menu, search %appdata% and open the folder
2. Go to "Local" -> "dell display manager"
3. Open UserSettings using a text editor (I used notepad++)
4. Ctrl+f to find any instances of 262144
262144 is the enum for "alt"
5. Anywhere that you find a 262144 in square brackets, remove everything inside those brackets, leaving them like this [] ex. [262144, 10] changes to []
6. Save the file after removing all instances, or changing them using values found here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.windows.forms.keys?view=windowsdesktop-7.0
