msjava.dll file missing
I have a DELL Dimension DIM 4600. When I run Spybot it goes with no problem until it asks me to get rid of the bugs. When I click “fix the problems” it comes back with an error message stating I’m missing an msjava.dll file. I ran a search and sure enough it came back empty.
I searched the forum and found some threads on msjava.dll files but none that relate to Spybot. So I’m not sure if the fixes for those would help me. Most of them relate to Microsoft Virtual Machine.
I guess I need to know if there is a place to copy the .dll file and if so where on my hard drive would I put it.

Msjava.dll is a part of Microsoft Virtual Machine. A version is available for download from here but it is not the latest version. If you are not using Microsoft Virtual Machine, but rather have Sun's Java Runtime Environment, the version of msjava.dll does not matter. Download it and (if you are running Windows XP) install it in C:\Windows\system32. If you are using Microsoft Virtual Machine and are using version 5.00.3810 you will need the latest version of the file. Click my user name and my profile will show my email address. The definition is here. To view sites that use Java you must have a virtual machine installed, either Microsoft's VM or Sun's Java Runtime Environment.
