XPS 435MT, 2009, video card upgrade?
Could somebody suggest a currently available video card which would be compatible with this model
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz 4.00 GB 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Video: Discrete PCI Express x16
basic input/output system (BIOS) not uefi
After a recent windows upgrade the existing card (amd radeon 4800) ceased to work .
(No drivers are installed for this device)
I assuming it is no longer compatible with W10.
Space is limited in this computer
The psu has been replaced by a larger one

this one could be one option: EVGA GT 730 2GB gddr5

or ASUS GT 710 2GB gddr5

do you need to run three 1080p monitors at same time? HD=720p, FHD=1080p

I'm not gaming, but I use it for music (Reaper DAW) and need to use 2x HD monitors, 3x would be nice
However the cabinet space is limited where the video card is situated.
Based on this do you have any suggestions

Re: After a recent windows upgrade the existing card (amd radeon 4800) ceased to work .(No drivers are installed for this device)
upgrade may have messed up Windows. Try a clean Windows 10 install and there is a good chance Windows 10 will automatically download amd driver for this old card.
if you are not gaming, any simple nvidia or amd card will work in 435MT.
Dell oem card for 435MT
AMD Radeon HD3450 256MB PCI-Expressx16 RV620
ATI Radeon HD3650 256MB
Card, Graphics M113, C, Inspiron
ATI RADEON HD4670 512MB
1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT220 M205 Vostro
CrossFireX, Dual ATI Radeon HD4850 512MB
if you are gaming, knowing the limitation of old i7-920 and dell bios, used GTX 770 or 780 or cheaper still, go with an AMD 280X, 290. A gtx 960 would do too. gtx 970 is too fast for cpu and will suffer bottleneck.
