Dell XPS 9700 - Direct Graphics Controller Direct Output Mode - Can't find in BIOS

According to the service manual, there should be a direct graphics controller output mode in the BIOS under "Display" but I can't find the setting.  I have the nVidia 1650 Ti 4 GB card--I'm wondering if that's only an option with the RTX card?

I'm using a 5k thunderbolt monitor and the performance is sluggish when it's running through the Intel UHD graphics.

@joemorel  In addition to the reply above, the Intel GPU built into the CPUs used in the XPS 17 does not support 5K resolution, assuming you mean "traditional" 5K of 5120x2880.  If you mean 5120x1440, which is "dual QHD", then that works fine since that's slightly less total pixel area than 4K, which is supported.  But if you do in fact have a 5120x2880 display, then you may find that you're running that display below its native resolution, and you would absolutely be running it well below the standard 60 Hz refresh rate because that Intel GPU also only supports DisplayPort 1.2, which doesn't provide nearly enough bandwidth for 5120x2880 at 60 Hz even if the GPU supported that resolution.  And a low refresh rate can certainly be perceived as sluggishness.

There's a discussion thread here that will likely provide the answer -- though I suspect it's not the one you're looking for, it does appear to depend on which GPU you have.

I have XPS 9710 with GeForce RTX 3050 Mobile.

I don't see this menu. Does it mean I can only use graphics in mixed Intel/NVIDIA mode?
