Loud fans in XPS 15 9570 in the sleep mode after Windows 11 upgrade

Hi,

Last week I upgraded my XPS 15 9570 to Windows 11 and installed all the drivers recommended by Dell SupportAssist. The computer is up to date.

Since that, whenever the computer goes into the sleep mode or the display turns off, the fans start blowing very loud in a pulsing mode (strong blow approximately every second) and the computer heats up. When I wake it up from the sleep mode, the fans get quiet again.

I've read some posts about fans getting loud in a sleep mode and draining the battery but never found a solution to this problem.

Any suggestions?

Update=Issue resolved after changing to hibernation mode.

I upgraded my 9370 XPS 3 days ago to Windows 11 and am having a similar issue.  I'll finish using my laptop and put into sleep mode.  Then hours later, the fan starts up and whirs in 3 successive whirs and repeats every 2 seconds until I wake the laptop up.

Well, it is going around!   My XPS 13 was upgraded and is now suffering exactly the same problem.

We need a solution!

Same problem on a XPS 15" 7590.  All updates installed, latest BIOS, etc.  Fan pulsing when in sleep.  Very annoying indeed!

Same issue on XPS 15 7590 after Windows 11 install. It means I have to shut down instead of allowing it to sleep - very annoying!

I have the exact same pulsating fan in sleep mode problem on my XPS 13 - 9370 after windows 11 upgrade.

The fan in my XPS 15 9570 also pulses after upgrading to win 11. I notice that the laptop gets quite warm while this is happening. I did quite a bit of driver upgrading and testing but the problem persists. It is only happening during sleep mode, not when screen is off or in hibernation. We need a solution here--it sounds like my laptop is getting worn down every time this happens.

I'm having exactly the same problem on my XPS 15 7590 since installing Windows 11. Super annoying. I'm regretting not rolling back the Windows 11 update. This is just one of two very annoying issues after upgrading Windows. Not to mention all the minor annoyances. I do have 7x24 Dell tech support. I'm going to call them. The BIOS updates have been coming fast and furiously lately, so it makes me think they are working on issues. But who knows.

I'm having this exact same problem. Started when I upgraded to Windows 11. It's driving me (and my dog) insane!! Has anybody heard of any fixes? Is Dell doing anything?

Similar issue here with an XPS 15 9570.  Wondering why the fans would even be coming on in sleep mode?

Can you please check if the issue exists on Hibernation mode as well?

How do I switch to hibernation mode? I have not been able to figure that out. I don't even see it listed anywhere as an option.
