XPS 13 9365 won't turn on - Black Screen but keyboard lights up

Hello,

Today my XPS 13 9365 froze, after turning it off, it won't turn on. I see that keyboard lights up to 3 sec and that`s all. I see that when I try to turn it on, the keyboard lights up for 3 seconds and that's it.

Does anyone have any idea what could have happened and how can this be fixed?

Greetings,

FYI: I got a thermal sensor, like in my case the problem is in the audio chipset (ALC3271), since when the power button is pressed, the audio chipset temperature rises to 57 degrees.

It looks like the audio chipset is a disease in Dell XPS 13 9365.

P.S. Not long ago I decided to switch to another brand (at the moment, I'm totally satisfied), I don't want to take any more risks with Dell.

Thanks.

Unplug the system, disconnect all external devices,  remove the base cover and disconnect the battery from the system board.  Hold the power button for 30 sec.

See if the system will then power up.  If it will, reconnect the battery.  If that halts powerup, the battery is bad.

Power up again, holding the D key.  Can you see the screen tests run?

The battery isn`t bad, I checked it.

When I push  the D key, I see the screen tests run.

That's good news that the screen is OK - but bad news, since the mainboard is not.

The i7 boards are these:

Boards with i5 CPUs are likely slightly lower in cost.
