XPS 13 Plus closed lid using
Hi, we purchased an XPS for our manager who will use it for 90% at docking station with closed lid. I figured out while installing the necessary software for him, the laptop produces so much heat. Is there any drawback to using a laptop with external monitor and keyboard with closed lid? Can the produced heat damage the screen?

The answer is, yes it can. There's only so much you can do with a full-power CPU in a chassis this small as far as cooling is concerned. If the workload is heavy and generates that much heat, a 15" system is more suitable than a 13" slim one.
