XPS 15 7590 Bluetooth headset not working anymore while using docking station WD19TB

Hi everyone,

I am using my Sony xm2 Bluetooth headset over my XPS and my docking stations for a couple of years, all working well until a couple of weeks ago.

I am now running W11 for a while but after a few updates (Windows and drivers from Dell SupportAssist) if I have my headset connected and I start an MS Teams of Zoom call, the app freeze, and the audio system crash, it doesn't allow me even to use another device. I need to troubleshoot the service to let it start again and it works only with wired audio devices.

Few additional info:

  1. without a Docking station, the headset works perfectly as usual
  2. without the Bluetooth headset, the other audio devices work well also with the docking station
  3. for windows sounds and youtube the headset works well too, it crashes only when I open MS Teams or Zoom.
  4. all drivers are up to date
  5. I have an error in the device manager on "detection verification": The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There are no compatible drivers for this device.
  6. I uninstalled and reinstalled all the audio drivers manually.

Any suggestions?

thanks and have a wonderful day,

Simone

I solved the issue formatting and reinstalling windows from scratch, any other solutions failed.
