BRAND NEW AURORA R7 WILL NOT TURN ON

I purchased an Aurora R7 for my daughter for Christmas. I connected everything but it will not turn on.  The power supply test button does turn on the fans but there is no power to the "on" switch or mouse or keyboard.  Technical support told me to wait on a return phone call to exchange the machine without any sort of diagnostics what so ever.

I have probably bought close to 30 computers from Dell, but the customer service and support from dell is continually on a downward spiral.

This will most likely be last purchase from them.

Hi ‌,

I'm sorry for the bad experience you have had with the system so far, and sorry for your daughter missing her Christmas gift.

This could be related to the power button, if you want us to send an onsite to replace it instead of an exchange, you can send me a private message with your service tag.

Sadly, my son and I have had a similar experience where the Aurora R7 fails to turn on after its second day of mild use.  Definitely a Christmas spoiler for his first computer.  We went through all the troubleshooting steps with the customer service rep and looks like we will need to have the power supply changed out when we get an appointment..still waiting on a call for that.  The rep was very polite but I'm afraid this is a omen of bad things to come.  Hope you get things sorted out on your end as well.  J

Have you checked to see if the power button cable connector is loose? You can look up the service manual in the support section for the Aurora R7
