FX2S PCIE compatbility
we have a couple fx2s populated with Fc640 blades. We are looking at get say Intel Optane PCIE storage for one of our blades. The FX2S shows Perc 830, SAS HBA and 1/10GB Nics as compatible. Are PCIE storage boards also compatible in the PCIE expansion slots ? I imagine it wont be an issue, but want to check before getting storage.

Actually, I did research to answer this question, but I could not find an answer that I can be sure of. Since we cannot access the tools on the sales side, it is difficult to answer questions about compatibility directly. In this sense, it will be healthy for you to contact sales before making any purchase. First of all, I have to point out that if the Intel Optane card you want to purchase is not Dell certified, it may not work. Please pay attention to this, components that do not run Dell firmware may cause problems. I saw some PCIe storage cards for FX2 on the tool I could access as a technical team, but I could not see Intel Optane in the list. It would be better to contact the sales representative for more accurate information.
