PEM640 BOSS card doesn´t exist in BIOS

Hello all,

How to set up BIOS for Boss card ? 

Pem640 server, BOSS card+240SSD added .

No BOSS CARD or BOSS-S1 Configuration Utility.,am I miss something ?

Hello to all,

thank you guys for help and effort .

As i read a lot of documnetation this card 0F9XF is only for Emc Poweredge C6420.

i think this is the problem .

i need 853XN or WMWJW.

i dont see other explanation .

853XN is supported by M640

Does anyone know setup of BIOS for BOSS cards in PEM640 ? 

 

Dell dont have documentation for this stuff or i didnt found right one .

The steps needed are outline on page 20 here. This page is specific to the BOSS card installaing and configuration.

Can you share the storage controller and physical disk page from iDRAC? From the screen shot it looks like a PCIe SSD card not a BOSS card. Did you have the picture or part number of the controller

PN of controller:7G4YN (PERC H330 Mini Mono Blade 12G)

no hdd´s .

Hi,

yes 853XN is supported by M640 i checked this again.

I love raising dead-threads... but I really wanted to say "Thank you, Dell, for once again creating something that doesn't work and give extremely little or no information about the parts or part numbers needed for your machines". 

I can't even begin to think about how much money and time I've wasted buying parts for Dell machines only to find out it doesn't work after days/weeks of troubleshooting and it goes past the return window.

I understand why you do it, however; the bottom line... $$$$$
