PowerEdge M1000e Questions
Hi all,
I found a really good deal on an M1000e, and before I bought it, I wanted to ask a few questions.
First, can it run off of 120V with this cable? I've seen conflicting information regarding this. The tech guidebook says "220 VAC (Volts AC) input (a single PSU runs between 180V and 260V AC)", however the technical guide says "Dell supports either 110–120V or 208–240V AC power supply input and supports a wide range of power distribution options. Dell recommends 208–240V AC for all production
environments". Does anyone know which one is correct?
Second, The one I am looking at has 6 PSUs, so if I run them off of 240V, what kind of PDU should I use? What does it need to be rated for? If I were able to use 120V, could I use the before mentioned cable and just use a beefy powerstrip like this (Rated 120V, 1800W)?
Third, if I had two of the M6220 (with redundancy) would I just plug in one ethernet cable to my main switch from each switch (I think it's like this, just want to make sure)?
