VRTX Unable to access shared storage

Hi all,

We have installed two new blades M640 on a VRTX chassis that have another 2 existing blades. I check we have the two SPERCs correctly detected but the new blades are not able to see shared storage.

Checking inventory on each blade I find that existing blades have these entries "Chassis Integrated RAID1 Shared function" and "Chassis Integrated RAID2 Shared function" we don't see in new blades.

Maybe I need to configure something or add a card to enable shared storage on new blades?

Check that the CMC and the Shared PERC 8 firmware are the latest versions. To update the CMC firmware, go to the CMC web interface and tick both boxes for the CMC controllers under the “CMC firmware” section. Then click on “Apply CMC Update”.
Ensure that the Shared PERC 8 controller is securely inserted in the chassis slot. If the CMC does not recognize the controller, you can move it to a different slot. You will see a green light flashing on the controller when it is powered on.
Powered VRTX off, disconnected power, removed chassis cover, performed "power flea" by holding power button for 15-20 sec
If you have two CMC installed, then changed place of CMC card from SLOT1 to SLOT2
