GeertC,
Sorry for the delay, I was looking into the issue for you and realized that the reason is that OM Essentials can no longer pull warranty info. It goes to a warranty API that no longer works.

GeertC,
What I would suggest is to restart OME services from General Settings and try the operation again. If it still doesn't work, please let me know.

Hi @GeertC,
At the beginning of the post, you mentioned OM Essentials 2.5 no longer updating warranty info, was it working before on the previous version that you had? Did you update the OM Essentials to 2.5?
The error message from the screenshot seems unfamiliar to me, is it from OME? It seems to be an error about proxy, do you have proxy settings done in OM Essentials?

I have not recently upgrade to OME 2.5
But I also can't tell the exact point when the update warranty information stopped working.
The screenshot is coming from the Windows Event Viewer "Dell OpenMange"
In OME I have not configure to use a Proxy (checkbox for proxy is unticked)
what would be URL/DNS name , used to retrieve Dell warranty information?
Grz,
Geert

Hello Geert,
Could you please also check Warranty Update settings, regarding the follow instructions:
1. Click Settings → Warranty Notification Settings.
The Warranty Notification Settings page is displayed.
2.Under Warranty Update Settings, select Enable Warranty Updates.
3.the Update warranty every field, select the number of days to set the frequency at which the warranty updates are checked
4.the Next warranty update will be on field, select the date and time at which you want to check the next warranty updates.
5.Apply.
By default, the Warranty Update Settings is disabled.

Please ask me if you have any questions.

"Enable Warranty Updates", was already set
I have tried to Disable/Enabled , but still the same message.
I can actually trigger the Event Viewer error message by going to
Reports -> Warranty Information -> click refresh
I also sometimes see the below message once in a while (still trying to figure out when it's triggered )
the URL https://downloads.dell.com/catalog is working when I try to open it from the OME server
It seems like OME thinks a proxy is configured, but in Settings -> General -> Use proxy Settings = not enabled

When i configure a proxy in OME
i get the error (404) Not Found
(still validating if the error is related to our proxy or not, but for them moment i don't think it is)
