Is DiskXtender Stubbing Files

How can I determine whether DX is stubbing my files or not? I have a 1TB drive that is filling up and I have reason to believe that some files are not being stubbed either because they can't managed (invalid characters) or because a move rule doesn't exist. The only way I've been able to tell in the past was to shutdown DX, move the dxspy driver from loading during boot, then walking the tree looking for files that have physical size greater than 4K.

I've tried dxdmchk and DX file reporting. Dxdmchk bypasses files DX doesn't manage without telling you so and DX file reporting takes for ever then can't open because the report is too large. I believe it skips files that aren't managed just as dxdmchk does.

The server has around 30m files on a single extended drive. I'm hoping there's some way I can identify which files are not managed by DX.

Thanks

if you want to see next set of files getting moved to secondary storage, enable trace options in Menu service->event settings->trace "File Move and File Purge". With this you can check files getting moved are *purged* or not.

With individual files(or set of files) you can right click on that file->DiskXtender->View file properties->General info Tab gives you the clear picture of file managed by DX or not. If purged or not (settings tab->migration status)

You can run the media report and get to know files are purged or not. It should not crash. Either media report or DxDmChk options are not helping please raise a ticket with support. We can have a look the issue.

Let me know if you need some more help.
