PS4100 The RAID set lost blocks
The device is still working. I replaced a failed drive and I now see the message: The RAID set lost blocks
It is not saying a volume lost blocks but the raid set (RAID 50). 24 10K SAS drives.
I acknowledged the error and do not know what to do next. Is there a way to validate the array? Maybe another drive is going bad (have 2 hot spares and 2 more cold spares).
Any help is appreciated!

Hello,
You are running older firmware. I was going to suggest you clean the lost blocks, if you had a validated backup. Just to be safe, during a quiet period you may want to reboot that array. When it comes back online, reboot it again. This will completely restart both controllers.

Hello,
What version of EQL Firmware is that array running?
At the GrpName> prompt type: show member
When the RAIDset loses blocks that means there was a point where it could not write out data in cache.
How did you acknowledge the alert?
At the GrpName> type support exec "raidtool'
Copy and paste the outputs here please.
If you have SANHQ installed you might want to consider converting to RAID6. RAID50 being two RAID5's striped together. A double fault on a single RAID5 set will bring the member down
If you do have another failing drive it would likely be in the same RAIDset that the first one failed in.

Thanks for the help!! I have been floundering around looking for an answer.
I used the GUI and just hit the acknowledge as I recall (been a few weeks)

I know the firmware is older, but I could not upgrade to the newer version due to other constraints.
I'll try getting a reboot in (been a long time).
I cleared the blocks and all seems to be ok.
I can't thank you enough for the help you have provided.
