Inspiron 7506 2-in-1, Intermittent power ON issues

Has anyone else with a Inspiron 7506 2-in-1 Laptop had any issue's with it not turning back on for like a few days at a time, I took the PC out of the box on Christmas and it worked pretty well and still does when it actually turns on but the last couple weeks I noticed when I shut down my PC to give it a rest, when I go to turn it back on it won't turn for awhile, and I also notice the light on the side of the laptop that indicates your AC Adapter is charging the PC also doesn't light up when its like that and doesn't want to turn back on. But after putting two and two together I don't think the PC is actually turning off and I think its locking up in the Bios at the moment in which the PC gos blank and "Appears" to be off when it truly isn't off. I say this because after a day or two all of a sudden my Pc turns back on and works normal however the battery is completely drained which is telling me that the computer is still running even though it looks and acts like its completely turned off. The only reason I think its a bios issue is because my Pc under normal operating circumstances when it first boots ups the Charging indicator light on the side of the laptop turns off for a moment as its booting which is normal for alot of laptops actually, so like I said I think its freezing on the BIOS right when its supposed to be turning off and I have to wait for my battery to drain in order to turn on my computer. This is one reason I hate the fact that they make Laptop batteries non removable now a days, because this issue could probably be fixed by simply taking out the battery and restarting the PC, Dell might want to consider putting some kind of reset button on future Pcs if they plan on making their Laptop Batteries non removeable because it makes things more complicated if your PC has a motherboard glitch which happends sometimes with PCs. I also read on a forum that this might be caused by turning off the PC with the AC Adapter plugged in and coincidently everytime I have a random issue with restarting my computer it just so happends to be plugged into the AC Adapter. Dell sent me a replacement Adapter and its still having the issue sometimes so I think its some kind of Software issue sometimes updates screw your PC up and I'm thinking that's what going on because other than those issues I love the computer, but Dell needs to look into this if more customers are calling about a similar issue.

I had the same issue and removing the battery connection solved the issue. Took me less then 5 minutes to do. Just remove the base cover and then disconnect the connector to the battery for about 10 seconds. Once plugged back in, it powered up and everything is normal again.

If the system is facing intermittent power ON issues, follow the below steps:

2.Disconnect the power adapter from the Laptop and wall power socket

3.Remove the base cover

4.Remove the tape and gently disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard socket

5.Press the power button for 15 seconds to drain any residual power from the motherboard

6.Reconnect the battery cable to the motherboard socket

7.Replace the base cover

8.Connect the power adapter to the wall power socket, then to the Laptop

9.Turn on the Laptop

10.If you can boot into Windows successfully

Long time without the laptop being online means lots of Windows 10 updates to download and install.

There is at least one at the beginning of every month.

If you have a 5400 rpm traditional hard drive, everything is even slower.

I am having a similar issue purchasing an Inspiron 2in1 late November and starting it use it after Christmas (it was a gift) and it has now shut of twice. For me this wasn't immediately after shutting it down but both times it was in use and it randomly shut off (no AC adapter light lit when plugged in). After the first shut down I had the motherboard replaced and a few days after it shut down like this again. I am currently stuck in how to handle this because this isn't normal behavior for any laptop.

MY 7506 IS DOING THIS TOO, AND IT IS 1 DAY OLD. IT WAS ONLY DELIVERED YESTERDAY, AND I SPENT THE EVENING SETTING IT UP AND THIS MORNING IT IS STONE COLD AND WILL NOT TURN ON AT ALL.

LUCKILY THERE IS A RETURN ADDRESS ON THE BOX AND I PAID FOR IT ON A CREDIT CARD.

JOB DONE!

My computer was working fine this afternoon. I didnt turn it off but came back to find it a brick. Cord lights up half way but no led at the plug on the computer. I should have just gotten a new phone.

Deja vu. This is exactly what is happening to the laptop we just bought 2 months ago. When my wife turned it off with the charger plugged in she was then not able to turn it back on. Just like yours the light on the side that tells you when its charging just blinks on for a second and then goes out. The back light on the keyboard works but none of the keys will function. It acts like it is on but it isn't. Really frustrating. I think this problem is endemic to this model and dell needs to work out a fix and have some kind of recall or something.I cant afford to wait 1-2 days for a new battery to die down and let the system reset every time I want to use it. A brand new computer with this kind of problem is a big deal.

Running a hardware diagnostic test helps you identify and resolve a hardware issue. Dell laptops, desktops, all-in-ones, and Windows-based tablets have a built-in diagnostic test called the Dell SupportAssist Pre Boot System Assessment or Dell Enhanced Pre-Boot System Assessment (ePSA).

But how would I run a diagnostics test when the screen is black because laptop won't turn on?

I have the same problem.  Can't obtain the specs on it since it won't turn on.  I've had this about 4 months.

Same computer, same issue. Just bought, all updates applied, battery fully charged.

It went into power save mode and now won't switch on.
