Dell Mobile Pro Wireless Mouse - MS5120W Ubuntu 20.04

Hello,

I have a Dell Mobile Pro Mouse connected via Bluetooth very well on Windows 11 with no issues. My machine is dual boot as I need Ubuntu 20.04 for my work. The problem is the mouse is detected as a Bluetooth device but can not be paired.

All help is appreciated.

Here is how I solved the problem.

  1. Since I tried to pair it multiple times, I noticed multiple "Dell Mouse" devices in the list. I surfed the internet to remove all previous incidents from the Bluetooth devices list and found this answer
  2. I turned off the mouse and then removed all of the "Dell Mouse" addresses using the remove command.
  3. I turned off Bluetooth, then waited a few seconds and turned the Bluetooth discovery on.
  4. I turned on the mouse and clicked on the bottom button for 3 seconds and mouse LED is flashing.
  5. It was shown again on the Bluetooth list and clicked on it.
  6. Now a message shows that a device wants to pair and I clicked "Allow"

That's it!

Hello, I haven't received the Invoice  Copy yet. Can you share that so that I can help you with your query?

We are unable to view this picture. Could you send me the picture of the ppid/Service Tag/ Invoice Copy on smac_support@dell.com with the USERNAME as the subject line?

Thank you for reaching out to us. I’d be glad to look into this for you right away. As our interaction would involve sharing personally identifiable information, I would recommend that you private message us so that we can start working toward a resolution.

Thank you so much. The private support I got is the laptop came with Windows 11 , so you can't help with Ubuntu ! Thanks but that was the worst response I ever received. I can share a screenshot if you prefer of this elegant response. Thanks for being so lazy to help.
