Full disk encryption on Dell Precision 3561 with Ubuntu 20.04?

I just received my Dell Precision 3561 with Ubuntu 20.04. It is not clear from the startup screen to apply full disk encryption. I know other Linux distributions like Pop! OS allow users to apply full disk encryption when setting up the computer. I was expecting a similar experience, knowing that Dell has been offering Ubuntu on their laptops for quite a while now.

As full disk encryption is a company requirement, what is the recommend way to apply Full Disk encryption on a new laptop? I will also have to instruct other colleagues to do the same, so I would be greatly helped if there is an official Dell instruction I can refer them to.

electric-power-user,

Following up to see if you downloaded and installed Dell OS recovery from Support website?  If so, what was the outcome?

Update to the community, Dell has reached out to me in a private message for support. That is still ongoing, so no definitive answer yet.

Yeah that worked. We also tried reinstalling from the rescue USB stick created during the install procedure and that worked as well. Again, too bad it isn't an option during the initial setup procedure, but now we have our process down. Thanks for the support!
