What is the difference between Dell OMIVV and the new OMEVV Plugin?
From what I read, both products do the same things. Or am I wrong.
I currently have OMIVV installed (which has a cost to it), but the new OMEVV plugin for OME is free.
Any insight would be appropriated.

How is Dell going to address OMIVV licenses, as it looks like to use OMEVV requires a new license? (per https://infohub.delltechnologies.com/p/new-openmanage-enterprise-advanced-ready-to-bring-new-customer-benefits/) Is OMIVV going to continue to be supported through 2027 for 5 year licenses purchased this year?

OMEVV does use a different licensing that OMIVV, OMEVV uses OME Advanced licenses and OMIVV has its own licensing. Now if you were to buy a new OMIVV license then they would still be supported, but the other issue is that OMIVV will almost certainly never support ESXi 8.0 when it launches or any subsequent ESXi version.
