The Perc battery has failed

I'm seeing this message in the Hardware Log on my server.  I saw in another post that it might be a driver issue.   Any thoughts?

Hello,

I'm sorry. It was on previous controller: PERC 6/I

Looks like the ability to manually start one was removed from later controllers.

Example:

Monitor what you have. If it continues consider the steps I listed , except learn cycle. Learn cycle runs automatically every 90 days.

Here it does not show that there is a problem with the battery.  Also I know the server is getting close to 10 years old so I'm not sure how long the batteries normally last.

Hello,

It could be the battery cable, the battery or the controller (where the charger is).

We should make sure the controller firmware is up to date, reseat the battery cable on both ends and do a learn cycle on the battery.

Install OMSA and start learn cycle

Expand Storage and controller, select battery. On battery tasks dropdown execute Learn cycle.

@DELL-Charles R Not sure what  you are calling a charger?

The server is like 1.5 - 2 hours away from me and is never moved so I'm going to assume that the cable is not loose.

I believe this is where you want me to do a relearn but it has no tasks.

Also here is the current firmware version.
