Optimization of spare capacity
We plan to add Storage soon,suddenly primitive questions came up.
1. Is the spare policy percentage optimized when add / remove storage?
Example:
SDS(10TB) * 4 nodes,spare policy percentage 25%,spare capacity 10TB
↓ Add SDS (10TB)
SDS(10TB) * 5 nodes,spare policy percentage ?%,spare capacity ?TB
2. If there are multiple storage pools, is it possible to set different spare policies for each?
3. If multiple storage pools exist, is spare capacity shared between storage pools?
Example:
protection domain 1
∟storage pool1 - SDS(10TB) * 3 nodes,spare policy percentage 34%,spare capacity 10TB
∟storage pool2 - SDS(5TB) * 4 nodes,spare policy percentage 25%,spare capacity 5TB
Is the spare capacity in this case 10TB or 15TB?
And what if the protection domains are different?
protection domain 1
∟storage pool1 - SDS(10TB) * 3 nodes,spare policy percentage 34%,spare capacity 10TB
protection domain 2
∟storage pool1 - SDS(5TB) * 4 nodes,spare policy percentage 25%,spare capacity 5TB
Is the spare capacity in this case 10TB or 15TB?
