Configuration of Management Network and Storage Network Subnet on PowerStore T
Hi All,
I need an advice and expertise advise on configuration part of Management and Storage network in PowerStore 1200T that currently I'm in the midst to configure the box. My few questions and queries need to ask here are:
1) For the Management Network and Storage network when to configure, can it be in the same subnet? For example if my management network is 172.16.12.xx and my storage also in the same of subnet
2) Or it can be on same subnet but need on different VLAN?
I have go through some PowerStore documentation but got confused on it as my client provided me the detail of management and storage IP details for the PowerStore configuration in the same subnet.
Appreciate any expert view on this matter. Thanks

Yes. The following image show an example of best practice cabling for management network (Green) and storage network (Orange).

Hello @zulhadi ,
You have to configure the management network in one subnet and storage services on another subnet.
Please refer to Management network IP address requirements here and Storage network IP address requirements for adding storage services here
Example:
Management network: 172.16.12.xx /24
Storage network: 172.16.13.xx /24

Many thanks for your response. So that mean, for the configuration, the different subnet between management network & storage network is MUST and cannot be same, right?
